2015 Young Company Auditions/Interviews

DATE: Saturday, December 6

TIME: 11am-5pm

The Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival is seeking fifteen (15) female and male actors, and five (5) costume, scenic, or lighting students ages 18 and up. Current and recent undergraduate and graduate students may apply. 

E-mail NDSFAuditions@nd.edu to schedule an audition or interview. You may request one of three times of day - early (11-1), middle (1-3), or late (3-5).

Remember, you will be competing with students all across the country, so we are expecting your best work.

Actor Audition:
Choose a monologue, song, and/or a piece of music (if you play an instrument). Vocal and instrumental pieces will be performed without accompaniment.

Technician/Designer Interview:
Before December 1, send a copy of your resume an/or portfolio to NDSFAuditions@nd.edu. Interviews will be scheduled according to interest. Resumes and portfolios may also be delivered in person to Grant Mudge (gmudge@nd.edu), NDSF Producing Artistic Director. 

Auditions and interviews will only be scheduled using the process above.

The Young Company (YC) is a paid professional theatre training program for college and university students and recent graduates looking for opportunities to train and perform alongside internationally renowned professional actors, directors, and designers. “We bridge the gap between academic and professional theatre,” says Ryan Producing Artistic Director Grant Mudge.

The Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival participates in the Actors’ Equity Membership Candidate Program (EMC), which permits actors and stage managers in training to credit theatrical work towards eventual membership in Equity.
