Get Involved
Shakespeare at Notre Dame provides multiple ways for you to connect with your community, onstage and off.
Shakespeare at Notre Dame has a long history of community engagement. Since 2003, we've introduced Shakespeare to thousands of young people with ShakeScenes. This annual event is a family favorite every summer.
The Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival's Touring Company plays to audiences across Michiana. The Touring Company performs in area parks and theatres during a four-week span every summer.
Shakespeare After Hours, another local favorite, began in 2017. This raucous performance features adult-oriented takes on Shakespeare, at LangLab in South Bend.
Shakespeare in Fremont Park is another key form of artistic and community outreach. Founded in 2017, this seven-week program involves community-based organizations in South Bend. The 2019 season featured an original production performed aboard “Boomer,” the mobile experiential vehicle from the City of South Bend’s Venues Parks and Arts.
