Exuberant, joyful, and above all, ravishingly entertaining, Much Ado About Nothing is one of Shakespeare's most celebrated and enduringly popular comedies. This delightful romp deftly explores notions of identity, marriage, and communication through the sparring between Benedick and Beatrice, two of Shakespeare's most gloriously realized characters. With its piquant blend of prickly banter, mistaken identities, and swoon-worthy romance, Much Ado About Nothing is sheer theatrical delight.
Founded in 1975, Actors From the London Stage (AFTLS) tours the United States each spring and fall. The troupe is made up of a rotating cast of five classically-trained British actors who, with minimal props and staging, direct and produce themselves in a full Shakespeare play.
