Join scholars from Notre Dame’s Early Modern Circle for a discussion about how Shakespeare and his contemporaries used plays to think about pandemics -- and how we use Shakespeare to do the same.

In this panel and interactive Q&A, graduate students of the early modern period will speak about the language of disease in revenge tragedies, physical and metaphorical healing in the Renaissance body politic, and pop culture perspectives on Shakespeare and the plague.

This event will be available on the Shakespeare at Notre Dame YouTube page beginning at 7:00 p.m., July 28, with a LIVE Q&A featuring VIP guest Dr. Peter Holland, Associate Dean for the Arts at the University of Notre Dame's Department of Film, Television, and Theatre, following at 8:30 p.m.
