In this panel and interactive Q&A, graduate students of the early modern period will speak about the language of disease in revenge tragedies, physical and metaphorical healing in the Renaissance body politic, and pop culture perspectives on Shakespeare and the plague.

Chanel Cox, Emily Donahoe, Laura Ortiz-Mercado, and Arnaud Zimmern are members of the Early Modern Circle, an interdisciplinary workshop group for Notre Dame graduate students studying the early modern period. They are all students or recent graduates of Notre Dame’s PhD program in English.
