AFTLS Performs Romeo and Juliet in London Mar. 23 & 24
Actors From The London Stage returned to the road with its 3rd tour since the pandemic. The group performed Romeo and Juliet, along with leading a multitude of classes and workshops, at Brigham Young University, Rice University, Kansas State University, John Carroll University, the University of North Alabama, and the University of Notre Dame. Romeo and Juliet has its final UK performances March 23 and 24 at the Cockpit in London; tickets on sale now at thecockpit.org.uk. Future tours include As You Like It (fall 2023) and A Midsummer Night's Dream (spring 2024).
Hamlet 50/50 premieres August 2023
The Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival is proud to present Hamlet 50/50 as our flagship Professional Company production this coming August! Hamlet 50/50 is a world premiere adaptation of Shakespeare's classic drama, directed by Vanessa Morosco, who adapted the text with Peter Simon Hilton. Hamlet 50/50 is designed to create gender equity in the workplace of Shakespeare's plays by balancing the scales in all aspects of production: from concept and initial designs to the hiring of cast and crew. Shakespeare at Notre Dame Updates
Mary Irene Ryan Family Executive Director Scott Jackson has been formally appointed a Research Associate at the Von Hügel Institute for Critical Catholic Inquiry at St. Edmund’s College, University of Cambridge. Scott has also been elected vice president/president-elect of the Shakespeare Theatre Association. Congratulations Scott!
We're also pleased to welcome Samantha Grocock as our Assistant to the General Manager/Company Manager. Sam is a 2023 graduate of the University of Notre Dame and previously stage-managed the NDSF 2022 Touring Company production of All's Well That Ends Well. Welcome Sam!

NDSF alum Ethan Jones Romero (Othello and The Merchant of Venice, 2018) appeared on NBC's drama series New Amsterdam, playing Diego Murillo in the episode "Right Place."
