Special Productions
Shakespeare at Notre Dame, and its signature programs of Actors From The London Stage and the Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival, has brought Shakespeare to new audiences through a variety of special events, ranging from our annual SonnetFest, lectures and talks with scholars such as Stanley Wells, to hosting performances by renowned companies such as the Guthrie Theatre, and personal recollections by acclaimed actors such as Claire Bloom, Brian Bedford, and Michael York.
By going "beyond the stage," audiences around the region hear informative and entertaining themes performed by members of the Young Company and the artistic director.
The annual opening night celebration gives audience members a change to mingle with staff, cast, and crew while reveling in the excitement of opening night at the theatre.
