Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival presents THE COMEDY OF ERRORS

Notre DameAugust 22, 2013 - A fast-paced adventurous romp awaits two sets of twins, masters and servants, torn apart from their brothers in a tempestuous shipwreck. When one pair unexpectedly arrives in the adopted town of the other, hilarity and hijinks ensue. The actions of the children may fulfill one parent’s search for his long-lost sons—or be the death of him! The Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival’s Young Company in William Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors on the Main Building Quad in front of the Golden Dome. The 75-minute outdoor performance, directed by Kevin Asselin, will take place Monday, August 26 at 7:00 pm. Admission is free. Bring a blanket or chair for this dreamy midsummer’s night performance.

The Young Company is comprised of students from the University of Notre Dame, Saint Mary’s College, and other colleges and universities from across the country.  

Begun in 2000, Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival is part of Shakespeare at Notre Dame, a program of the University of Notre Dame’s College of Arts and Letters. The Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival also produces professional productions of William Shakespeare’s plays that involve Equity actors and world-class directors and designers.
